Magdalena's Cheesecake

Magdalena's Cheesecake, according to a fan, Libby C-B. Thanks Libby.


  • 1 box Zwieback

  • 2 C. sugar

  • 1 t. cinnamon

  • 1 stick butter

  • 4 eggs

  • 4 T. flour

  • pinch of salt

  • 1/4 t. vanilla

  • 3/4 T. lemon juice

  • 1/4 t. lemon rind

  • 1 C. cream

  • 1 lb, cream cheese.


Crumble Zwiebach and combine with 1 C. of the sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Mix well.

Press all but 2/3 C. on bottom and sides of greased spring-form pan. Put in refrigerator,

Beat eggs until thick and light. Add remaining sugar, flour, salt, vanilla and lemon juice and rind. Beat well. Combine cream and cheese. Mix well. Add to egg mixture, mixing thoroughly.

Top with remaining Zwieback mixture. Bake at 325 degrees about 1 1/2 hrs. or until puffed up with light brown tinge on top with little cracks. Thank you Magdelena, wherever you may be!
